Don't let the Mixed reviews fool you. Wuchang is a really solid souls-like that really does fair-play with you.

The combat is mainly focused on dodging, to the point of parrying not even being an option as far as I played. Wuchang most likely doesn't have a parry mechanic, but I'm a big sucker for dodge, so I'm really having a blast with it. And it's not that complicated to play on a controller, so I can actually use everything at my disposal.

UPD: Wuchang has a parry mechanic that can be unlocked in the skill tree.

Also, grinding the blood (or whatever it is, I can't remember) is not tedious at all, and you can farm 3 levels without a problem.

The open world - It could use a better navigation than just a compass, but I guess if you're going to die to almost every enemy like me, you're going to memorise the path anyway.

The performance could use some work, but it's mostly alright as it is.

I got all the OST, and I heard most of it, and there are some really good bangers hidden there.

I recommend Wuchang, it's unique in it's way, it's fair and not tedious to play.

The interconnectivity of the world is on another level from other Souls-likes. On par with DS1.

The combat is generally satisfying and bosses are fun to learn while not being particularly challenging except a few in the late game.

It doesn't really do anything new but you get what you pay for and is a solid souls-like.

Incredible soulslike game! Always happy to support Eastern Devs unplagued by our modern standards. It's like playing Sekiro but as a beautiful woman in an Elden Ring like granduer and majestic world. Good lore depth, satisfying combat and levelling perk system, cool enemy designs and gorgeous characters. Too many Missables and Ng+ achievements conditions made it a bit tedious for a completionist blind playthrough but an amazing game overall nonetheless. Highly recommended!
