FINALLY! Got past Ubisoft connect and was able to actually play the game.

Pretty sure we're all well ware Ubisoft, so I'll avoid that, leaving this negative cause Ubisoft. This is my first time playing Unity, I've played most the mainline AC games up until and including Odyssey.

To be fair to the game, separate from Ubisoft. The game looks incredible even till this day, I honestly prefer it's look over Origins and Odyssey. The combat seems more enjoyable than the hack and slash of the newer games. Almost a blend between that and the older style.

I did immediately run into Graphical issues though, so I'll update this review as I gain time in game and play around with settings.

Yes, the story is forgettable. Yes, Arno isn't exactly the most memorable Assassin in the series. Yes, the game launched as a complete disaster and you'll still spot the occasional bug years later.

But damn, Paris carries this game hard.

The city feels alive in a way few open-world games ever managed to replicate. Crowded streets, massive landmarks, incredible lighting and one of the best parkour system the franchise has ever had. Running across rooftops, slipping through windows and disappearing into crowds never gets old.

I didn't care much about the plot but I had an absolute blast just existing in this world. Ubisoft may have fumbled the launch, but underneath all that was one of the most immersive Assassin's Creed games ever made.

Flaws and all I'd still recommend it.

I finished the game, it's ok, this is coming from someone open to and a fan of the newer ones and the ones like AC ROGUE and before, also I'm not a psychopath that skips ahead and doesn't even get the serious premise of the real world similarities to this and the series (especially the first ones up to AC IV). But I want to give this a bad review of 6/10 and IM NOT ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ON IT. But because people give AC ROGUE ♥♥♥♥ without having tried it, I must say they just hopped on this for the new gen graphics bandwagon and all the other groupthink reasons. In this case truly and in comparison, as ok as this game was, It is horrible compared to all I have played, once again I started odyssey way back just as a test run and tried mirage the other day with a friend.

This gameplay mechanic style is overrated, clunky and sometimes makes me enjoy it less. I don't even think it is subjective from someone who isn't over critical of any game, again im not a cod player or a sociopath that picks and chooses AC games randomly. So Im being as reasonable as I can and objective. The game aint it for someone who is well rounded both in mental capacity to be engaged in a story and in gameplay. Plus they had a chance to get into the annunaki bs with the stuff in the end, no spoilers here but ifykyk, the sword was out of place especially without an explanation, must be a har har moment in the minds of og fans and imagining what new gens must have thought of it "Oh special glowy sword thing". LOL. EVEN ROGUE WAS ELABORATE in that sense, to some extent. Also AC ROGUE is the best one :)
