Would you please show a screenshot? I want to see exactly what you mean so that I am on the same page.
it allows your friend to play on your pc with you. you dont load up the game on a diffrent pc and then play online. you are playing split screen. he is on your pc. there is no other screen capable on having its own fullscreen.
Why did this thread die! I am having the same problem with two steam decks playing together. My son invites me to his game through remote play, and we are both staring at a split screen on our own steam decks, that doesn't make sense. My view should be full screen for my character and then same for my son. Instead we are sitting side by side looking at a split screen on each of our steam decks. We should get a full screen view each!

Because it's not 2099 yet and they still haven't figured out how to put your game in super position with your son's.

Because it's split screen.
Multiplayer is split screen.

It's a split screen.
Like that's the view of the game.

I'm absolutely sure once they crack the trinary system we'll have that quantum matrix up and running so you can somehow play the game at the same time in the same place and not be split screen.

Because the only way you are ever going to play splitscreen mode...on a game that is split screen co op. Remote play isn't "Hey let's also this copy to this guy too and also let's defy the design logic of this split screen game by breaking space and time by perfect trinary data nodes".

if you both own the game then dont invite through remote play. Remote play streams one person game to someone else allowing the second person to play as if they were joining with a second controller which means remote play will always be splitscreen.
Unfortunately no, because Lego's dev's suck at programming.
