This is my story of how I came upon PTC and a man called Zero$in...

I was in a clan that was falling apart from the Battlefield series days and this was a few months after BF 2142 came out. My friends were in LTK and SYB clans and they brought me into CSS one day (after talking me into buying it) and I followed them into my first server...it was called "Poontangclan". I was a total newb in CSS although I had played games for years and I have to say I was as comfortable that day as I am now almost 5-6 years later in their servers. The server had sounds, music and the coolest people I had ever met in or out of gaming. I eventually made many friends and (long story short) became ptcc and a year or so later finally became PTC.

I befriended Zero and he taught me most of what I know about the game, servers, running a clan and life in general. He was one of the most open minded and truthful individuals I had ever met and I met him online and never in person (so-to-speak) and PTC became my family for quite some time. I was single for many years going through a lot of shit personally and PTC was my solace. I have met so many people since then I can't even begin to tell you how great it felt and still feels to this day.

A few years ago I came into some money and made many trips to the bay area to see concerts and vacation with my girl and her kids. I found out that Zero lived in San Francisco and we talked many times about meeting up one day. Eventually, it happened. I met him, his wife and his son. They hung out with me at my hotel room, Zero and his son ate lunch with me at a place called "Tommy's Joynt" in San Fran one day and Z also took me out clubbing to a bunch of hot spots in the city. I have to say again how lucky I was to meet such a high caliber of humanity. He was the nicest guy you could hope to meet....non-judgemental and always had a smile and a joke to tell you.I feel privileged to know him and always will remember him in that fashion. I am deeply saddened by what happened to him and he is in my thoughts daily. Unlike the other gaming clans and people I have met in my life, if we didn't see eye-to-eye he would say something like, "If that's the way you feel, let's discuss it" or "I appreciate your input but this is what I feel is best" and always included everyone's input and I f-ing respected that.

This may be more of a way for me to feel better than for you all to know him as I know him but I feel I must tell this to you all. Whether you know Zero or not, whether you only talked to him in text or never even saw him I want you all to know he is and was a true hero of mine and a genuinely good man and father. He built a community and almost a virtual world that I have never before or since experienced that brought together so many people from so many places in the world it was truly amazing. No matter what happens or has happened he will never be forgotten in the minds and hearts of the people he has touched in his lifetime. I miss Zero and hope he can come back and hang out with all of us again some day.
