I'm using the (new) Steam Controller's gyro to steer in a racing game, using the “Gyro to Joystick Deflection” mode. Steering only requires horizontal movement of the stick.

I can prevent vertical stick moment from happening by setting the “Vertical/Horizontal Output Mixer” to -100%. However, Steam still tracks the controller's forward/backward tilt, and when rotational haptics are enabled, there are haptics for tilting the controller that way.

Is there a way to make the gyro mode truly horizontal-only, giving haptics only for steering-wheel-like movements of the controller, but not for forward/backward tilt?
