Wrong GPU showing in new review specs (CPU integrated graphics and not my graphics card.)
Hey, noticed a weird issue with the new "add pc specs" option for reviews.

It’s detecting the wrong graphics card on my setup. I've got a Ryzen 9950X3D and an RTX 5090. Steam is listing my video card as "AMD Radeon Graphics" (the integrated one on the CPU) and not my GPU

When using a external / dedicated GPU, you must always disable (Device properties) / remove all drivers and software from the cpu-iGPU, and remove it from BIOS.... (unless for some reason you use both) This will set your dedicated / external GPU as GPU device 0, instead of GPU device 1

It looks like the hardware scanning only see's GPU device 0, and not GPU Device 1 or 2.

I had to disable my internal CPU GPU on the 2 PC's that had them, to remove this type of conflict, and to remove all of the wasted resources, due to the number of monitors I have on my Dedicated GPU's

Well, I mean that’s one way to do it, but it would be better to just add an option to choose the GPU or something similar. It is not standard, but it is common for CPUs to have a graphics chip.
I guess I'm a bit outstanding here. I use an eGpu.
Steam only recognises my Intel Arc 140T... The RTX 2080Ti which is connected via Thunderbolt is not shown.
Of course, removing the iGPU in Bios is not a thing, because the whole LapTop was never designed for that.

So yes, an opportunity to actually choose which of the " connected GPUs " will be displayed, ( or just simply all of them ) would be very nice, otherwise it would be very inaccurate

I agree, it's just a big hassle whether I have this option or not to disable it in the bios, it's not convenient for the majority of people that would be afraid to even touch something in the bios, so just to put drop down menu of some sort that I can select my video card will be the best
Guys, Whether you have an option to do that in the BIOS or not this is not intuitive for the majority of people that don't even know what to do, and just to tell them to go and find themselves there and watch some video tutorials This is not the answer just to put a drop down of some sort if the auto detection doesn't work It is the most reasonable thing to add and I was surprised that this is not an option
Steam should change this or make it possible to select what you use. The dedicated graphics are also specified in the system check. I think 90% of normal Steam users are not familiar with BIOS, and I myself am not going to disable my onboard GPU from the 9800X3D. “Never change a running system.” I myself use an RTX 5080. Steam needs to improve this. Some people here don't even know how to read system requirements or update drivers. Imagine the chaos that would cause.

100% agree
ALSO it shows VR "Video Card: Meta Virtual Monitor" instead of actuall graphics
The entire point is to get worthwhile feedback for people reading reviews. If my hardware says I'm only using an iGPU when there is a dedicated GPU in the laptop it makes it seem like I'm saying the iGPU can run it when I say that a game runs well which might be worse than not showing hardware stats at all.
If you re-save your hardware information, it should find the dedicated GPU.
Nope, still showing the weaker Intel Arc B850 (which I use for movie encoding) and not the stronger RTX 5070 (which I use for gaming). I have manually assigned the RTX 5070 to the Steam client executable in the Windows settings, but this didn't help either.

For some reason, they are not giving the option for a drop-down menu. I don't know why, because it's a very stupid thing not to do that. But on the other hand, in all of the features they're trying to implement, I don't think this is one of their priorities...
