Shoot for Saturday Special

Ok, we've got a fix on the date. This Saturday, Davey's place.

Tentative sked: Afternoon is at Suntec. Night is BBQ (Pot Luck)

If BBQ is a no-go (Davion is checking) we'll troop over to the nearby uncle for zhi char(Which is most likely). Pls budget approx $10 or more if the latter occurs. If you *really* no money, you could probably eat regular hawker centre food >_> lol

Regardless, the evening WILL be dedicated to uh, sharing the goods. So please bring the goods along. A spare laptop or two wouldn't hurt either I suspect. PLEASE ENSURE VIRUS CHECKS BEFORE BRINGING! Don't wanna crash Davion's com again -_-

There will also be Drinking at this party. Please come prepared with that in mind. We will find suitable drinking games for when the drinking starts up.

We have two options for our next major (MASSIVE) meetup.

Davion's house is available for FRIDAY, the 14th. He is NOT available for Saturday the 15th.

Saturday the 15th we're looking at a possible afternoon G.I. Joe movie followed by dinner/chatting and chilling at someone's place (Egg, maybe?) Davion's house is NOT available for that day.

The reason we're putting it for next week (rather than National day) is to try and get Ignis and Eggy and Meph along, because those three have been MIA damn long liao :P

PLEASE PM me your preference/decision asap so we can confirm if we'd rather all meetup on Friday night or Saturday.

If we DO meet on Friday, note that I can't make it (I'll be in Malaysia, confirm + chop liao) but I'll come back around late night and join you guys if you're still there.

Spring cleaning, tons of announcements

Cleared out some inactives, changed our POTW (about time eh? :P)

Please take note: New vent will be going up tonight (I also buay tahan liao) so I'll be buying it some time after dinner. Please PM the regulars in vent for information and show up.

Please make payments to Fl00r or he will call his Ah Long buddies to come your house and splash paint on your walls. Vent will be $40 for 4 months. Should last us till December. Hopefully will fix all the farking lag in our vent server at least.

Also, we have a bunch of bday boys this month - Floor and Nifty. Please remember to give them their birthday wishes (Floor belated liao) and their birthday present of a free achievement of their choice. Alternatively, if you want to buy a proper present, please contact Jara and we'll figure something out.

Finally, before Eggy flies off next month September to the land of greasy pork pies, fish and chips, cheap beer, pea soup fog and a motherfucking huge clock called "Big Ben" (I wonder if Ben really was "big") we all need to do a proper, major, meetup.

Suggestions to host us all needed. Please PM Jara. Setting it for a Saturday, probably the week immediately after National Day (Aug 9) so that Ignis will finally get a life and meet us, and Meph won't say we never tell him in time. =P Callsign, if you don't show up, we will hunt you down I swear. Selr, if need call Midnight to chaperone you do so. May finish late.

We also have more than 4 bottles of various assorted poisons/rotting pee aka alcohol sitting in Davion's house that require drinking. Those interested in doing illegal file transfer + Drinking binge again, please contact DAVION (Because I volunteer him since it'll likely be at his house, so he coordinate better) Chances are good it will be a Friday night.

This can be done whenever, but likely soon. Please get your shit ready. You know what I mean. After reading, pls PM Jara to acknowledge you've read this announcement.

a) No more afk'ing in servers. This means no /retry to go afk, or hitting 10 windows to get into a server and then going afk for dinner while waiting to join. This applies primarily to SH servers.

I don't think this applies to servers we can spec in such as the PUG servers, since you can go to spectator there in order to watch matches.

This is done out of mutual respect for Hammifer. He could have simply banned us outright, but he actually took the time to come looking for us to warn us. Don't misplace his trust in letting us have a warning.

b) Since TF2 is slowly waning, and we don't know how long it'll be around, please come up with another great team game that we can all get together and game in.

Some suggestions for now include Battlefield Heroes (Pros: Free to play, 3rd person, levelling system, looks not bad. Cons: 3rd person, servers are generally based in Aussie)

Runes of Magic (Pros: Something totally different genre for us to try. Free to play. MMORPG. Looks like a WoW knockoff Cons: MMORPG. Will need a spread of classes. NOT ALL OF US CAN BE FRIGGIN ROGUES OK! Need priest and others! lolx)

Quake Online (Pros: Free to play, FPS shooter. Cons: Primarily deathmatch. Servers in Aussie)

Please offer suggestions or vote for your preferred type.

I'm leaning to Runes of Magic, since it'll be an interesting new place for us to go explore together.

Guerilla Games need a Part-Timer!

As most of the Zoukers know, I'm the lucky ass dude who worked a good number of months of my life at that place called Guerilla Games next to that other place called Island Creamery. The bunch of guys who worked at that place were a cool suave bunch who ruled Serene Center with impunity. Hahaha. Times have changed and it seems the old guard is no longer able to work there.

I would work there but I can't commit my Saturdays because I will have camp duties and because Boss wants someone who's fine with working 1 or 2 week day nights as well. It's better he gets a more committed part-timer.

The place is at Serene Center so I suggest interested people live not too far away from there. Whoever needs a part-time job that really is more play than work give me a msg at 97881061
