No tracks, but albums found?
My issue is a strange one - I've been using Steam Music player for years already, but I've never experienced something like that.

All of a sudden, once I've closed the game, Shining Song Starnova, my tracks didn't display, but I can play them without issues through the Windows media player.

The steps I've been taking were followings;
  • Scanning the folders again - Nothing has happened.
  • Removing the paths to the folders, scanning it again - Nothing has happened. The same as the 1st step.
  • Restarting PC.
  • Resetting the whole music Database.
  • Playing tracks outside of the Steam - Works just perfectly.
  • The informations about my tracks are following;

    The correct number of albums, just like before; 81
    But, a hella wrong number of tracks; -1.
  • Exitting and running Steam again didn't result in any progress either.

The issue has happened about fifteen minutes ago, but not less.

Further, the albums - Soundtracks of games are displayed, but again, there are no tracks.
As you can guess, if there are no tracks, I can't play anything.

Because I can play them outside the Steam, I do assume, it's a Steam related issue, and not a PC related issue.

Make sure the artist's name in the album's tags have the same capitalization as the other albums by the artist. I had this issue with Rage Against the Machine ("the" was "The")

I've never got to have "The" everywhere, as some or all of the czech tracks don't have and can't have "The" before their names.

Thanks for the try though.

Well, I meant in general. Just make sure the capitalization is constant.
Solved it by deleting the ''music'' folder, where Steam is installed!
