As a graphic designer, I am obsessively in love with the art direction and their graphic realism design styles. If you're interested in learning more or hearing detailed breakdowns on the art direction of the game, Riloe on YouTube has two amazing videos on the subject.

Performance is solid on my slightly outdated CPU that likely bottlenecks my GPU at highest settings w/ max FOV. Haven't gotten any frame skips or stutters.

Also for people interested in being "friendly," it is much more rare in comparison to ARC Raiders, but even in my first game I was excited to extract with a rando in solos.

Taking back my negative review in light of performance fixes, motion blur toggle, and 5v5 mode. The game is quite fun now that I can actually play it on my 3090.

The ideas behind the gameplay loop are solid, while including the things taken from other games. Sound design and voice acting are actually quite good as well and feature some high-profile voice actors.

My biggest gripes are that most of the characters lack visual character and reinforcements seem completely useless.

Undoubtedly, this game has gotten a sizeable review bombing, especially passing up other free fps games in total number of reviews in less than a week. People definitely got a sour taste after this was shown last at TGAs, they'd probably be a bit better off if they just ran a beta first to get fixes and community feedback naturally.

It was cool before they started adding AI slop and making every update involve skins or paid gacha.

New map is god-awful. 4 loot zones and they all have NO LOOT. 4 runs, over an hour, not a single purple, blueprint, or item of worth.

The fact I can keep my progress from the demo is already legendary. This dev deserves the world and then some with their communication and how well they listen to players.

The game itself is absolutely a blast to play, reminiscent of DOOM: Eternal's system for acquiring ammo and health, except this time based on stagger and destruction instead of chainsaw and fire. Voice acting and sound design are phenomenal, graphics are stellar, animations are fluid, and there's a solid variety of enemies. If you like roguelites and DOOM, you will love this game.

New update tl;dr: First-person mode and a new map, but more premium currencies, gacha, and way more menus and UI clutter. It sure didn't try to stray from being a predatory mobile game.

Trailers and images look significantly better than the in-game appearances, and they made it very important that one of the two adult women (Blade) had ridiculously impossible jiggle physics. Other reviews note that "characters and weapons are locked behind a paywall," but those are incorrect, all are earnable in-game. Despite that, this game and it's characters have no character.
