Open your ears and just LISTEN for a second.

Is there an absurd amount of overpriced DLC? Yes
Is it still oversexualized for no reason? Yes.

HOWEVER...

There is NO reason to buy 99.9% of the DLC. It's just lame swimsuits, and pointless wedding gowns, and ridiculous pirate outfits, and every other stupid set of clothes you can imagine.

ALL you would need (want) is the DLC characters, of which there are only a few. A couple of them are even from King of Fighters, which is pretty cool!

What matters is the FIGHTING in this game is some of the best fighting you will come across in any game. It's actually pretty frustrating that they haven't grown up and gotten past the whole "BEWBS!" thing, because this beats out Tekken, SoulCalibur, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, all of them! (All of which I like, but not like this)

Now, I say that as someone who plays fighting games for FUN. I don't get ridiculously deep into absurd technical nonsense and worrying about frames and hitboxes and blah blah blah blah. Good for all you competitive types, I don't care!!! All I want out of a fighting game is a system that is technical enough to add depth to the combat, but fun enough that even when I lose I want to keep going.

The triangle system of Grabs/Hits/Counters is so simple to grasp, and a delight to try and master.

I just hope one day they stop catering to sad little basement dwelling gooners and focus on the fact that this is the best fighting series ever. If they'd do that maybe people would take it seriously.

I know horror.
I know video games.

This... my god this was something else all-together. I'm honestly curious as to how this was built because I am basically desensitized at this point, yet I was screaming like an idiot while playing this. I had to turn it off because it was stressing me out.

Why in god's name this doesn't support controllers is beyond my comprehension, but it's worth forcing yourself to use an archaic keyboard & mouse setup to experience this. Spend the 3$ you won't be disappointed.

If I pay 110$, I expect to get all the DLC - and I don' think that is unreasonable.

Shang Tsung is playable in the main story, but you have to pay another 8$ to get him in Versus.
A small number of additional Kameo fighters costing another 20$ on top of that is a joke.

For those counting, that's 138$ if you actually want the full game.

EXCEPT, there is a DLC expansion coming, which is fine in-and-of itself... but pricing models like this are a joke and I can't recommend them to anyone. Wait for a sale at the very very least, but know you will still have to buy the rest of it piecemeal.

EDIT: Look at it now, and it's somehow gotten even worse.
Despite owning as much of it as I do, there's so much still broken out into one-by-one DLC.
OH, but they offer a "Definitive Edition Upgrade" You say?
Yeah, for 60 bucks, the price of a whole new game.
WB Games has become disgusting.

It's disgusting that it's 2024, and this game hasn't been copied to death. I mean this is THE definitive VR Game. It's not some craptastic mini-game focused nonsense, it's not a "vr experience" It's not some stupid floating hands disembodied crap. You get an actual body, everything has physics properties, guns, melee, climbing, jumping, running.

This is what VR gaming is SUPPOSED to be, and every AAA game developer who whines that VR isn't catching on only has themselves to blame for not pushing something of this level out. If they had ANYTHING like this on PSVR, I would buy one in a heartbeat. If they even PUT THIS ON PSVR, I would buy one.

Companies are stupid, but Boneworks is god tier. If you own VR and you don't own boneworks, then what are you even doing with your life? Do you also buy a ferrari, and then only go to the grocery store? That's pretty much what you are doing. Buy the game and just be happy.

10/10 was my daily morning workout for a while (got some good cardio)
If you have an HDD, the load times are long, but you can do pushups while you wait.
Lost 30 lbs playing this game over several months.

EDIT: I played this with a Quest 2 via Virtual Desktop at 90hz. Perfection.

I won't pretend to like it when Dante goes all Michael Jackson, or the other cringe-level nonsense that they keep putting into these games... and despite the story being the most coherent it's ever been (outside of DmC by Ninja Theory) it's still an absolute mess of a narrative.

That all out of the way though, the game is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of fun. It's been a while since I haven't been able to put a game down. If you like Devil May Cry, you'll like this. Probably worth noting though that you won't be playing as Trish, Lady, or Vergil. Not without mods anyway.

I was really on the fence about this game, EA and all... but watching pre-release footage and listening to people who got the game early (Review embargos are idiotic) I decided to take the plunge AND AM I EVER GLAD I DID. I'm not a big Star Wars fan by any measure, but I do like some of the games, and I haven't enjoyed a Star Wars game this much since Jedi Academy. That's not to say these are in line with each-other, but much like that game, this really makes me feel like I'm playing a proper Jedi.

So what's the game like? It might sound a bit much to say it, but this really and truly is a Metroidvania game. The vast majority of the game is about exploration of the intertwining world that gets deeper as you gain more powers and abilities. Throw in just a pinch of Dark Souls style combat (NOT the difficulty, the style) and a bit of flavor from Uncharted style cinematics... and you have Jedi Fallen Order.

Honestly if this information here hasn't sold you on the game, nothing will. It's a wonderful summation of what to expect from the game. Like I said, I personally felt like it was well worth the 60$ I spent on it - whether or not that means anything to you is your business.

Resident Evil 2 is hands down the best Resident Evil experience since... well... since Resident Evil 2.
This game finally brings the series back to what made it good. Tension floods your body as you meekly round a corner, gun drawn, aware you only have 4 bullets - but entirely unsure if that will be enough to get you past whatever might be lurking in the darkness.

No longer are cheap, cheesy, over-the-top action sequences shoehorned into what is supposed to be a horror game. I'm sorry capcom, the 2 don't mix. I just wish it hadn't taken this long to figure out, becuase this game is EXACTLY what I was hoping for when Resident Evil 4 released on the Gamecube back in the day.

Here's hoping we see Code Veronica recieve the same treatment.

Whether or not you like the 'episodic structure' or prefer to wait for the full game... it has no bearing on the QUALITY of this title.

While some users have reported the occasional bug, I have had 0 problems. The game runs flawlessly for me:

AMD R9 390X 8GB
Intel i7-4790k 4.0Ghz
16 GB DDR3 RAM
Windows 10

Now, with that out of the way, let's talk about the actual GAME.

My first impression while playing this game is that they took what everyone loved about the first 4 games (Codename 47, Silent Assassin, Contracts, & Blood Money) and took the few good ideas from Absolution (Controls, PART of the instinct system, contracts mode, etc) and have fused them together for a proper sequel.

Your options for killing people are far more extensive, you can use nifty things like tools (screwdriver, crowbar, etc) to play with things in the enviornment and set traps (Or just smash someones head in, whatever you like).

The worlds are far more full of people to prey on, and there are a lot more things going on. It feels like these worlds are more alive than in the previous games where people just did a round-a-bout route every several minutes.

Really it all comes down to this, if you enjoyed the previous Hitman games, you will enjoy this. Nothing is missing, and everything is improved. Don't listen to all the people causing problems because they hate waiting for new content. No matter how you slice it, the 60$ get's you a full game.

The only differance is you can get it AS content is ready and being updated.
OR you can wait till it's all on one disc.

Either way, the content you get is AAA.
