Permafrost is coming to Early Access on August 21st.

Get your gear ready to survive in a world locked in permanent winter, following the catastrophic Moon Shattering.

Scavenge the frozen ruins, hunt prey, build a shelter from scrap, and craft the tools you need to push back against the cold and everything else out there trying to kill you.

Do it alone or survive with up to 3 friends in online co-op. The cold doesn't care either way.

Thank you for the playtest!

Hello, survivors!

We appreciate everyone who took the time to play the Permafrost playtest and fill out the feedback survey.

By now, we have identified several feedback points that are preventing the game from being truly enjoyable, as we would like it to be. That’s why we decided to end the playtest early and start working immediately on improvements.

If you braved the frozen world in this playtest, you’ll automatically be part of the next one. If you didn’t make it into this playtest, don’t worry - there will be more to come!

In the meantime, we will be back soon with a clear outline of what’s coming next, based on everything you’ve shared with us.

Gen AI usage

Was looking forward to this since I wishlisted back in 2024, but noticed today on the store page that generative ai voice-overs are being used. Can't knowingly support that with the damage every use of Gen AI is doing.

I am looking forward to this game, but I cannot start it normally

When I heard the game started testing, I downloaded it, eager to try it out. However, I\'m stuck at what seems to be the very first stage. After downloading, installing, and logging in, all I see is a wallpaper, and there are no visible settings buttons or any other interactive elements...
