Pantheon 5, is it that bad?
I am not a very good player at hollow knight. It took me forever to beat pantheon 4, and ive only sent a couple attempts and was extremely surprised that I made it to absolute radiance. Im not sure if this is one of those "its easy getting there, not easy beating the fight" nkg did pressure me a lot I wont lie, but theres a rest room after. Is Pantheon 5 as hard as everyone is making it out to be? I guess my discussion is, is absolute radiance that bad? I haven't fought her except for once because theres no way to practice her until you get there and I did die pretty quickly in p2.

If you're good enough to get to Absolute Radiance, you can definitely beat her. You'll just need a lot of practice, which you can go to the Hall of Gods to practice against her anytime now that you've reached her in P5.

As a whole, I would say P5 is pretty difficult. Most of the bosses aren't that bad provided you've practiced enough, but the difficulty comes from the length of ~40 bosses in a row, the few problematic bosses before Absolute Radiance (in my case, they were Markoth and GPZ), and Absolute Radiance herself, who I would say is significantly harder than any other boss in the game.
No. People immensely overestimate how hard p5 and absrad is. if you train enough for every boss its very easy, it took me less tries than p3 or p4
You should be able to beat all of those bosses in ascendent if you want to be sure to win (especially markoth, nkg and pure vessel). First, get to abs radiance, then for her I'd say train until you can reliably beat her 5 times in a row
It's not really bad as it is time consuming, getting to the final 10 bosses is pretty easy and only after that you need to get serious.
The final bosses by themselves are not hard but the added pressure and (probably) annoyance and fighting them one after another, it ain't really easy.
If you reached her, AbsRad should already be unlocked in the Hall of Gods. Have you checked the top floor yet? If you can get past PV, you can definitely take down P5.

Tip from someone who struggles to stay focused at the end of the run: I use Strength + Grubsong + Deep Focus + Shape of Unn + Grubsong for a survival build.

You still need to know the moves and dodge, of course, but this lets you heal 2 masks at the right window. You can heal during PV's focus, and for AbsRad, the Sword/Beam bursts are good moments. It’s not a fast kill, but it can keep the fight going if you’re being inconsistent! Regarding the difficulty, it is not an easy task for me. Even after finishing it on Steam and PS5, I still can’t be sure if I will end a run successfully. So be patient and you will eventually defeat P5.
P5 for me was hard not because of absorad but due to the nature of boss gauntlets and that pressure of "don't mess up otherwise I gotta restart all over".
The biggest hurdle for me was that bugger Markoth. I still despise him and that arena til this day.
For me it's one of the very few action game challenges I gave up on. Main reason is that only the last 5 bosses are really difficult, but those can easily be run ending, even with good practice (imo). And getting there takes like 20-30 minutes, so all in all it just feels like a huge waste of time to try. I gave it 3 days of practicing and trying and eventually decided to not bother with it anymore.
stop glorifying people who beat the game and acting like you can't. just click play and practice

Yeah I made this post after my original attempt before going to practice absolute radiance, i did try her and shes really hard. I dont have deep focus there are a lot of charms Im missing but I have the typical unb str, quick slash, shaman stone, im also running sharp shadow, but Im going to be taking that off before pure vessel even though its a crutch for me, sharp shadow is the only reason I beat pure vessel on p4, but it is going to make radiance impossible

I am really struggling on markoth and I hate that arena. Ive made it back to abs twice now, but markoth is always a "if this room goes bad, its over" There have been a few times I instantly die to failed champion due to his fast jumps and Im just not ready even though I know how to fight him
As my profile is at 83 hours, its getting more and more daunting that the completion for this game is 64 hours.

Markoth is just a matter of using nail arts (which are honestly quite easy) during first phase and then use your spells when he reacher second one and attack with nail arts when he spins his shield. Beat him reliably on ascendent and he'll be a cakewalk in pantheon.
Failed champion is the first boss I got on radiant and one of my favorites, all a matter of playing it safe and deflecting barrels. Again, beat him on ascendent and be able to get him consistently on attuned before P5.

Shaman stone? What are you, a spellcaster? That's heresy, nail is the real build for knights

It took me a lot of attempts to finally beat her in the Hall of Gods, and many more tries in P5. One question: besides the charms, is your Knight fully kitted (Pure Nail, 9 masks, 3 Soul Vessels, and all Shadow spells)? These make a huge difference. Deep Focus is located in Crystal Peak and is really close to a bench. I suggest you grab it.

Until White Defender, I use your typical damage build. After defeating him, I swap to the survival build I mentioned. Against Markoth, Deep Focus allows for more efficient healing, and Grubsong ensures you have Soul even when taking damage. The low-cost recovery also helps you save Soul for spells.

My strategy for Markoth: Stay on one of the upper platforms (left or right) and focus on dodging the daggers. When he stops moving and starts his Shield Cyclone, wait for the shield to rotate twice and expand. That's your window to dash in and pogo him, or heal. If you attack him, just make sure to dash out before the shield retracts. I recommend unloading your spells when he summons the second shield, while hitting him with your nail whenever it's safe.

haha regarding the shaman stone, I was running mark of pride but just thought since theres like 44 bosses Id go raw damage, idk if I should swap back to range nail but i do have the str nail build

I do have all my nails masks and vessels, gotcha I will try to find that charm then Im surprised I never found it. Thanks for your advice, gotta practice markoth then. maybe flying nosk too, that one feels weird because I dont feel like Im doing anything wrong but i lose a lot of hp. idk. edit: I also have all shade versions of the spells.
