I've had KartKraft on my wishllst for several months and was excited when it came up at an 85% discount in the latest Steam sale. I therefore bought it straight away without stopping to check recent reviews first. This turned out to be a mistake.

All seemed to be working fine, apart from a minor window sizing issue that I thought I'd be able to adjust once I got past the intial setup, until I reached the point of having to choose an avatar immediately after configuring my controller. I picked the one I wanted and it put up a message to say the purchase had failed. I then tried both of the other options, which also failed. Finally I resorted to googling to see if there was any way to get round this and continue into the game itself. Sadly I discovered that it's due to the servers having gone offline some time ago, rendering the game unplayable (at least for a new player - I'm not sure if those who already have an avatar selected can still access the game).

I have now requested a refund and I wonder why a game that clearly no longer works is still allowed to be listed for sale in the first place.

This doesnt even work the karts drive by them this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ game and i know there not gonna fix this game because they just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ left if uncomplete

Bought for $5 on sale. Was expecting less due to some negative reviews but honestly performs and looks much better than expected in VR.

The multiplayer is dead obviously as it's an older game now but the single player races against AI in VR are still really enjoyable. Would I say it's worth full price? Probably not. But if you see this on sale and you're thinking about buying it to play on VR, do it. It's still a lot of fun zipping around the track.
