Steam PVP Fest conclusions

A big thank you to everyone who participated in the festival. We were thrilled to see people enjoying our work and progress. Although a bit deviated, our previous plan still holds up going forward, and our road to Early Access keeps its course. For the sake of transparency and continuity, here’s a list of what’s left to complete:
-Unit stances
-Medals, Faction XP, progression system
-Skirmish AI refinement
-Port our team system to FFA setups
-Campaign mission integration
-Various bug fixes
All in all, it’s not a long list, and nothing stands out as particularly problematic. See you all at the finish line.

Global Conflagration DEMO ( My rating ) 1. I played the game for 1 hour today and noticed a few things or things that could be changed. 2. I personally find the capture of the respective flags or bases very strange, it takes away the entire dynamic from the game, a normal mining of resources like in well-known games like CuC would be completely sufficient 3. GC is back in force with a brand-new demo!

Over the past year, we’ve been preparing the game for Early Access, and we’re happy to say the campaign content is now complete.

We’re also introducing several new features that require live testing:

Performance optimization improvements
4 new maps
Retreat mechanic and retreat point
New lobby system and team assignment rework
New Vanguard and Carpathia T3 land turret
Dynamic Frontline feature available on all maps, with an option to disable it
Dynamic capture order
Auto-deploy option
Vanguard HUD
Formation spread by holding both mouse buttons + Ctrl
Virtual ranges for SPAAGs and recon units
Match restart button
Ability-ready voice notification
Range radius indicator for turret placement
Skirmish lobby memory
Escape key now pauses the game in singleplayer

Steam’s Real-Time Strategy Fest conclusions

One month ago, we participated in Steam’s Real-Time Strategy Fest with a demo open to everyone.
Today, we’re excited to share our conclusions and discuss where we go from here.
Here’s a list of what we’ve already addressed:

The Dynamic Frontline feature sparked a lot of interest in our community and was widely appreciated for the extra depth it brings to the battlefield. We’ve expanded it further and made it fully procedural across all our maps.
We dug deep into our game’s code to finally fix the root cause of recent crashes and errors.
Formation drag has been upgraded to feature two modes: line formation and box formation, both of which now stretch dynamically based on how far you drag.
Drone carrier alternate mode: Players now have the option to either keep drones loitering around the Delta to expand vision or safekeep them and launch only when an attack is needed.
Rally points can now be set for buildings under construction.
Air prioritization has been added for units that can target both air and land.
AI improvements:
-Retreats are now executed in the opposite direction of the enemy.
-Easier difficulties will take decisions much more slowly.
-The AI will now push more aggressively to finish off enemy bases.

In the coming months, we’ll be focusing on providing a smoother online experience for our players:

Player profiles tracking various stats
Ladder system for competitive ranking
Quickmatch for faster matchmaking

Alongside these improvements, we’ll be completing our two remaining missions, marking the final steps toward our Early Access release—which, if everything goes smoothly, should happen this year.

Im starting to fear for the game.

Game speed is rising with every alpha/beta test. Game goes to a very uncomfortable Esport side. Bases became exctremely rudimental. And placing allys base right next to yours....makes it even worse. Am i playing DoW3 again!? Am i playng mobalike!? Where is any researches, maybe i missed that part, but i feel only main building had. More unit for preview please. And other stuffs.

Either a new model preview mode, or add more units to the camo editor so players can see the model up close. Also, can you add the ability to Skirmish with no A.I? Like a sandbox mode where opposing AI is frozen. Just to test out the gameplay without engaging the enemy. Ah, the font. Some of them are a bit too small to read properly. It can give some players eye strain. For example, in the Camo editor, the titles/words for the units is a bit too small. I am using a 1360X768 resolution, and the font is real...

Micromanagement Issues Still Present?

Just over a year ago, I posted feedback regarding missing quality of life features in the game to reduce micromanagement of units. Specifically, these were related to the difficulty in getting a desired unit composition, and for spreading out new units across your frontline automatically. I also mentioned the difficulty of spreading out units in a battle to avoid AOE damage, although this has at least been improved, which I am grateful for. Arcade or RTS?...

The game is very interesting, but I think it's too arcade-like, or too focused on that aspect, although the developers have already stated that this is how it's going to be. The maps are small; there's no time to build a base in your starting area. You have to advance, no matter what, for resources. The graphics are very good, and it performs very well, with enough frames per second to keep it smooth. It's nice to see the infantry units at a size appropriate to the structures.
